Our Approach to Therapy:
We are interested in therapists joining our team who value and are interested in non-manualized, non-expert, and non-symptom reduction only models. A better and more clear way to say this is that we are interested in therapists whose main modality is basically anything but C.B.T. or something similar to it. We don't have anything against C.B.T., we just believe that therapy is more of an art than a science and therefore value non-expert, non-manualized, and non-homework assigning forms of therapy for the client experience we provide. We believe when you give clients weekly homework from an instruction manual based form of therapy in the form of worksheets or otherwise that this creates an expert/client relationship that is reminiscent of the teacher/student or one up/one down relationship where the therapist is going to 'do' or 'give' something to the client the same way a doctor or teacher would. We understand that doing so may be helpful in the short term to some people but it is not the experience we want to provide for our clients. We believe therapy should not have a fixed number of sessions from the outset and we take as much time need to learn about our clients and understand them so they heal, grow, and learn valuable insight about themselves that they can apply over the long term to truly solidify their growth and resilience. We value person-centered, humanistic, mindfulness, post-modern, and psychodynamic forms of therapy where the focus is on providing a safe space for the client to share their deepest thoughts, painful feelings, and life stories to unearth the answers to their healing and growth that lie within them. We believe that therapy is more of an art than a science and we look for therapists to join our team who share that belief. We are also looking for someone who already has education, training, or a background in psychodynamic therapy, psychoanalysis, Jungian psychotherapy, existential/humanistic therapy, person-centered therapy, narrative therapy, IFS, Gestalt therapy, EFT, Gottman, Mindfulness, DBT, or Attachment Theory.
Position Details:
We are looking for a full-time pre-licensed psychotherapists to join our thriving group practice in Cerritos. We are a hybrid practice offering in-person services at our office locations in Long Beach, Cerritos, and we also provide online tele-therapy throughout California. Candidates must be communicative, driven, creative, collaborative, and enhance our fun, independent, positive minded, and connected group of highly skills clinicians. We are a diverse group of clinicians and strongly encourage people of color, minorities, and LGBTQ+ candidates to apply. Having completed a significant amount of time in your own therapy or personal growth work is also a plus. The ideal candidate would know how to work independently and have a deep passion for providing excellent client care.
Duties:
- Conducts individual and couples therapy sessions with patients
- Assess and diagnose mental health conditions
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs
- Provide crisis management and intervention as necessary
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, or related field
- Valid state license or associate pre-license to practice as a Psychotherapist
- Experience in crisis management and patient care
- Strong understanding of mental health counseling techniques and theories
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines
- Proficient in using electronic medical record systems
1. Primary Therapist (Licensed= Part Time or Full Time, Hybrid or Fully Remote)
Schedule:
* The work schedule if very flexible! Full Time Therapists work usually 2-3 days providing in-person service and 2-3 days providing online therapy. This would require commuting to office only 2 days per week if that fits your schedule and location. Full-time (25-35 clients per week) or Part Time (10 clients per week minimum). Part time therapists are not eligible for benefits.
